In lower KS2 the children use ‘y peelers’ so they can safely peel away from their bodies. Once they reach years 5 & 6 they may choose to use a ‘Lancashire’ peeler if they feel confident.. This video shows how to use both types of peeler plus a bonus tip on peeling ginger you may find surprising!
I learnt this ginger peeling trick on a training day with Focus on Food last year. Who knew?!
